Fiona Nelson

Diagnostic Imaging Lead

Fiona is the Diagnostic Imaging Clinical Lead for Secondary Care (supporting Primary Care and Health in Justice). She is responsible for the central management of the radiology division including quality assurance and governance management within radiology. This includes contract management of radiology suppliers, development of the division, training support, audit support and oversight of quarterly and annual governance meetings and protection committees to support the varying radiographic practices at our centers. Fiona works with the sites to improve their usage of the systems and further develop the management governance, clinical and operational procedures.

Fiona has over 30 years’ experience within radiology with 15 years’ experience management of radiology departments within the NHS and independent sector across secondary and tertiary care. Fiona is passionate about providing high quality healthcare and making sure that the patients’ needs are put centrally within in any service. Fiona is enthusiastic about service development and innovation.
